How to get a job offer in Canada if you are outside Canada

Job sponsorship.

Whether it’s Intra-company transfer or sponsored via a Canadian employer.

The former is rare because the native job market isn’t anywhere as prosperous as, let’s say, the US.

And the latter is a rather complex process. Requires both employee and employer to jump through several hoops. Read about ‘LMIA’, which can take anywhere between 2 weeks – 6 months to process, depending on how ‘in-demand’ your role is within Canada. The outcome of an LMIA can be negative as well. But once LMIA is positive, a Work Permit can take up to another 12 months.

Needless to say, obtaining a Canadian job offer for an International worker is next to impossible. Unless, one possess a rare skill and even more importantly, the recruiter is actively reaching out to you.
