This intriguing stool is made out of obsidian. Obsidian is naturally formed when felsic lava spewed out by the volcano quickly cools down with minimal crystal growth. Basically it is natures way of making glass, only it happens on rare occasions.
The raw obsidian, found in Indonesia, has been hand polished into a smooth stool. It weighs 88 pounds!
