I’ve done classes here and there over the years, but I’ve never committed to trying yoga. Bella Prana has an awesome deal where it’s only $39 for your first month of unlimited classes. This let me try all the different classes they had and figure out what I liked and what I didn’t.
I have had leg and back pain for as long as I can remember. In the month and a half of practicing yoga here it’s done more than physical therapy, massages, and chiropractic visits over the past 5 years. There’s so many different classes that you can find what works best for you.
One thing I was worried about is I’m a mid 30’s male and I wasn’t going to fit in or I was going to get the side eye as I struggled to learn the poses. I have felt nothing but welcomed and accepted. I highly recommend trying this place out as it’s made a huge difference in my mental and physical state.
This is my favorite yoga studio! I have the year membership that allows you to go to as many regular scheduled classes as you’d like. This deal is worth it if you plan to attend classes on an almost daily basis.
If you are just thinking about trying it out for a bit, they offer a $39 unlimited classes for a month if you are first time student. That way you can really see if yoga is right for you. When I first started I chose this option and this is what got me hooked to buy the membership.
When you walk in the place is absolutely gorgeous and you instantly feel relaxed and happy. They have a few changing areas and showers which is great because I go to work after my practice so I am able to clean up really quickly and get on my way without having to go back home. They also have an area where you can leave your mat so you don’t have to carry it back and forth. If you don’t have a mat, no worries, you can rent one for $1 until you know that you will stick with the practice. They have amazing staff that is so sweet and really make the place clean and welcoming at all times.
As for the classes themselves, they offer a wide range of classes that are perfect for every level of yogi. My favorites are the Hot Power Hours and the Flow Level 1 & 2. I have tried the Hot 26 which was also a great workout. All the instructors are different in their practice but they are all amazing and ensure you get a good workout every time. I have never attended a class that I didn’t like!
The studio is amazing and they offer classes 7 days a week. They have class times all throughout the day so it fits in perfectly with my hectic schedule. You can also book classes ahead of time through the website or their app. This is helpful because it sets a reminder to your phone so you don’t forget about class. They also have a small boutique section where you can purchase a mat, clothing or healing items. They offer water if you forget a water bottle and fountain to fill up your bottle too.
Overall, I love this studio and I am happy to have the membership here. I feel so much better after every class and it has really helped with my neck and back pain.
Tested Bella Prana out after not being satisfied with the yoga classes at my other studio and I’m super glad I took the chance. As a newcomer to Bella Prana, I signed for the special: $39 for 30 days. I tried out various instructors and classes: Beginner, Power Flow 2, Gentle Yoga and Hot 26.
Pluses to this studio:
A lot of classes and variety to choose from (I travel a ton so my schedule is erratic)
Very large studios
Clean, spa-like atmosphere
Non pretentious
Fantastic instructor. Every class I tried, the instructors guided each move, providing imagery to ensure maximum potential is achieved; and, clear direction for modifications.
My favorite class by far is Hot 26. Classic Bikram with Very warm (above 100-degrees) temperatures (if you’re feeling tight and need time to come into your own, this class is it), and a strong intended focus to each and every one of the 26 poses.
Thank you Bella Prana! You’ve got a new dedicated attendee.
Visit here a few times with my best friend. I really enjoyed my visit. My first class was a meditation class. I reeeeally needed this. I hadn’t meditated in about 2 months before visiting and it was SO revitalizing to get back into it.
My second class was a gentle yoga class. Oh I looooved it! It was a pretty full class and so the instructor was not actually able to do all the moves herself because there was no room lol — but she was able to perfectly instruct us into the next position. Didn’t have to open my eyes once. She was very helpful and came around to assist us on some positions. I love love loved this class. It was funny because the young lady was actually a substitute and my best friend had been raving about the expected instructor — but we weren’t disappointed at all with the substitute, she was absolutely great.
Super cool and cute retail space. #spiritualgangster Love the Sunday donation class and the front desk staff are always so friendly.
This is a beautiful studio. Super cute boutique, spacious rooms, intricately designed. Staff is friendly. I like that they offer unique workshops and guest teachers very often. There is definitely a community sense here. Jam packed schedule, so it isn’t hard to find a class that is right for you. Not my home studio, but I do drop in for special workshops from time to time.
If you live in the greater Tampa area there is no better yoga studio than Bella Prana Yoga and Meditation. With many great instructors and a wide array of classes in both meditation and yoga for the beginner all the way to expert. They have a spot for you in one of their classes. The facility is beautiful and well keep. Be sure to go to their website and check out all the classes and special events that they offered the year through. I highly recommend Bella Prana Yoga and Meditation studio to everyone.
Immediately fell in love with this studio. You really feel a sense of community when you walk in, which I have found very hard to find in Florida and what I feel is one of the best parts of being a yogi and going to take class. They have a beautiful modern space with I believe 3 studios and a boutique equipped with clothes and yoga gear. The energy is warm and vibrant and young. I took class with Chanel who was just lovely and I can’t wait to experience more classes and more teachers here.
Namaste!
Bella Prana is in a new and improved location (previous Yogani space on Platt) and I feel compelled to write an update. Still the best yoga studio in town.
I love the instructors. Tina is still wonderful and I recently discovered the benefits of Ashley and Amee’s teachings. Three out of three instructors whose classes I’ve tried are excellent yogis, so I’m sure the other instructors are just as rewarding.
What I love even more about Bella Prana is the new location. There are now three nice sized rooms including a massive room with a ton of natural light coming through. I just wish it was a little cooler in the rooms or they had ceiling fans fans blowing. I’m not a fan of hot or warm yoga and I’m hot enough in Florida!
Bella Prana now features a large retail space offering yoga gear, jewelry, candles, teas, etc. I highly recommend the Angel Mist; the aroma brings an instant calming. The jewelry is adorable and very reasonably priced.
I love the owner’s commitment to reducing plastic waste by installing a water filter. The staff is so pleasant and the energy of the studio is both calming and energizing. Very grateful for this studio. It’s not just the best in Tampa, but I believe one of best in the country after visiting numerous yoga studios on both coasts.
This beautiful place is exactly what my my mind, body, & spiritual body needed!
From the moment you walk in the door you feel welcomed, the energy is so positive. The staff at the front desk are kind and helpful.
I’ve only taken two classes but both instructors were so positive, uplifting, and calm. And the classes!! Wow!! Both were “yin” in nature and during them I felt calm, at peace, and completely relaxed. Today I’m actually sore, in best ways! So I got a good workout without even trying. It’s amazing!!
I feel like I’ve finally found a home to ground myself in the present, strengthen my physical body, and let my spiritual body grow.
Many Blessings & Namaste…
I love this yoga studio so much, especially for their hot yoga and Bikram yoga classes. The instructors are so in tune and passionate with their teaching techniques and the staff here is just overall very friendly. The studio itself is very refreshing, clean, and zen. I was in great shape when I took advantage of their new student monthly special. The only problem I have with this studio is that as a full-time college graduate student I cannot afford their membership prices, and I wish they offered a college student discount. So right now I’m just settling with taking occasional classes on the weekend. I will say I have not been able to find another studio that I have liked more, and if you’re new to yoga or trying to step up your practice definitely come here and take advantage of the new student special!
Great class with new teacher. Her first Hot 26. It is great to come into town and find a studio that sticks to the true Bikram series. I want to stay that I am not a fan of Bikram himself but staying true to the series is important to me. I have been doing this series for over 15 years and it has had many healing effects on my body mind and soul. I am glad the Hot 26 is not “franchised” anymore but I hope studios that use it will stay true to the series.
Wow! This place is awesome, and I will be back again ASAP! I just moved to the Tampa area and I am so happy to have found a studio so close to my house. I purchased the $39 new student deal for one month of unlimited classes. On Tuesday, I took “gentle yoga” with Megan. She was amazing and told me I did a great job! Props are provided and instructions are explained with detail. Can’t wait to come again.
Beautiful studio with great energy flow. Lots of unique items for sale in the shop. Jen is so warm and welcoming I felt instantly comfortable my first time here. Paid for one class online and accidentally went to the wrong yoga studio so I missed flow 1 and went to flow 2. The universe knows what it’s doing because I felt like I needed the push. Signed up for new student special $39 for unlimited one month. I feel ready to take on anything right now. #spiritualgangsta #namastayforonemoreclass
Very nice studio! I attended the Stress Relief class and It was awesome. The studio is big, has 3 rooms and a big boutique store. They have a variety of classes. I signed up for the new student unlimited month. I plan to attend to as many classes as possible.
The studio is in a central area with plenty parking.
I can’t wait to try to hot yoga class
Bella Prana is located on Platt street just past Willow, where Yogani used to be. The studio underwent a slight remodel in the transition and is very nice. I have been going here since it was yogani.. So on and off for years. Since the change to Bella Prana I have enjoyed every class that I have attended.
I attended a much needed donation based flow 2 class on international yoga day. My friend and I were extra sore after a particularly rough free crossfit class earlier in the week at Team RWB located behind Yogani.. and really needed to stretch.
The class was great and left us feeling soo much better, the music was nice and went along with the class, and during shavasana the teacher handed out cool towles that had been soaked in lavender essential oils. Its was very nice.
The teachers are always very nice and motivating, everyone working there is always friendly and welcoming. There is plenty of room for everyone to leave their shoes and belongings, they have retail space to buy yoga clothing, essential oils, and a variety of other items that go along with the yoga life style.
Bella Prana has 3 rooms Lotus, Bella, and Prana. The rooms are decorated in a variety of colors, curtains, and lights. They offer a variety of classes from sleep yoga, Yoga Nidra, to beginner and advanced flow, as well as prentala and other classes and special workshops. Check the schedule for free classes and donation based classes.
They have Mats available but I am not sure if they are free or not since I bring my own. They provide straps, blocks, bolsters, blankets, and mat cleaner.
Unfortunately I didn’t love the class. I took a fri hot 26 class and expected it to be challenging. Not only was it not at all challenging (in a calorie burn type of way) but the instructor made odd comments throughout the class. She constantly reminded us not to “half-ass” the workout, said fidgeting was a sign of anxiety that everyone around us would catch onto, called people out over and over for closing their eyes (during shavasana) or wiping sweat. I left feeling annoyed instead of relaxed. Probably won’t be going back. I have had MUCH better experiences at CAMP Tampa.
Nice studio. They have three rooms with one being their hot room. I’ve only attended one class (yoga nidra, which was a very good, relaxing class) but they seem to offer lots of different classes throughout the day and on weekends. They rent you mats for $1 if you don’t have one. The parking right outside the studio is very limited but there’s street parking.
I have been to many yoga studios over the years and was really excited to try this place out unfortunately this is probably the worst yoga class I have ever been to. It could be that I just did not enjoy the style of the instructor Kim. I am used to high energy instructors making it fun with some music and a bit of laughter. The instructor was just so strict, no music, felt kinda like boot camp. I checked my phone once just to keep track of time and I got told off. this has never happened before it was just kind of odd to me. Toward the end for shavasana i was expecting to be guided for meditation but she said to leave whenever we wanted so I was kind of confused on how long i should stay. Weird vibes from this place. Won’t be coming back here.
This studio is exceptional. Great facilities, layouts, class schedule, welcoming vibe, etc. Some really amazing non-yoga classes such as Reiki and meditation also. All the instructors I’ve interacted with are very well trained and have excellent delivery. There are showers and changing areas, as well as a rack of no-charge mats for when you forget to bring your own. They kind of thought of everything when they made this place.
